i have already searched the fourms for this. i have a 87 mustang....and a 86 turbo motor and harness. i keep finding tech articals on how to wire an 87-90 mustang for 87-88 turbo motor. on the 86 tc harness....how much of the wiring is the vam wiring??? is the vam harness from the vam conectors to the red block?? and where do i find a diagram on what pin is which number?? like pin 27 for example.....where is it on the block? also..i'm going to ask...is it fine to run a ic with the pc1 computer?? sorry if this is a re-thread...but i didn't find what i was looking for in a search. thanks to anyone that has any help for me.

I guess you will still have to find the pinouts for your NA 'puter, but that will give you an idea of what is actually different between the 87-88 and the 86. There are only a few differences, like the ACT sensor.

The pins are numbered 1-60, you can see that on the plug block.
My numbers tell you which pin is what.
If you need to know which wire is which on the vam I'd have to look deeper for a bit.

Come on man, I already told you that you don't use the TC harness nor does it hurt anything to run an IC with your computer.
I'd suggest you hold off on the swap until you learn a bit more...

listen..stinger...i know what you told me. i'm not using the tc wiring harness. in your swap page it says use ONLY the vam harness. now i'm asking what is the vam harness...what wires does it consist of?? and yes..as for the pins i got out a magnifying glass and found out what i wanted to know. the only reason i'm asking again about the ic.....is because i read that it wouldn't work. so i want to make sure to do this right. i'm not holding off on anything....thats why i'm here...is to LEARN so when i do the swap...it's done right. thanks

Well, the vam harness is what plugs into the vam. I don't know what else to say. Just cut it 12" from the vam (don't have to be exact).

No, you connect it to the wires it says in the directions (EGR, etc.) and run only 1 wire to the computer.
