This my scenario,, I have all the items to put into my car in my signature, I am being told I am a dumbass for not at least ringing my stock block first. At the most I would like to hone my block, and replace the rings/pistons. and rod and mains. my block is stock now.
Should I just ring my stock pistons, and if so what rings? total seal?
Or should I replace my pistons also and try to get to 8.5:1 compression??
Also what brand bearings?
There are so many choices and I have no clue which one would be good?

If you are running an aftercooler and the vortech at only 9 psi, according to ATI's info pack you could be running around 11:1 compression with a carb and an intercooler, so I would guess you run around 10:1 on pump gas with fuel injection.

As everyone will tell you, definetely go with forged pistons, and rods, cast cranks can handle a ton of power, much more than you are looking at.

I like Probe's pistons. I'd go with the Total Seal rings, also.

I hope this helps your quest for power.
