I am in need of a new diff because my "limited slip" is just SLIP now.

Option #1
Buy the parts from the place where I am getting the Diff and Gears installed

"aftermarket" limited slip
Motive 4:10 gears
Installation with all new bearings gaskets fluids
1 year warranty

$875 w/tax

Option #2
Get parts from here http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...d=1,1&item=7979144273&sspagename=STRK:MEWA:IT and have them installed at the same place as above.

Eaton Limited slip
"Drivetrain Specialist" 4:10 gears?
Master Bearing Kit
Installation
NO warranty

$800 w/tax

Plan to do this next week so I will need to decide soon. I am leaning towards option #1 because of the warranty.

id lean toward #1 as well. because drivetrain specialist are not involved.

they suck to do business with. i just ordered a eaton posi from them, the situation was a mess. :notnice:

#1 - a shop worth their bearing will stand behind their product & work. if you go in & have them in stall stuff that they didn't sell you could be asking for a headache if something happened to go wrong.

*on soap box*

take it from experience, if you have a good shop that you trust it is much better to support them & pay a lil more. instead of saving a couple bucks & being out in the cold if something happens. it ain't all about saving money, it's about it being done right the 1st time. if you cut corners you'll almost always end up paying more.

*off soap box*

that is very good advice & if you are building a car i'd hope you all are smart enough to take it :nice:

Well it doesn't look like I am going to do either of these options. Instead one of the Brothers in my Fraternity is coming back to school for is Graduates Degree and Knows his $h!t. He professionally builds motors and has had an article covering one in Fast Fords Magazine.

Well he has a set of FRPP 4.10's that he'll sell me and help me rebuild my whole rear-end.

Thanks for your input!
