What rear end & tranny do I have?!?!

I just bought a 79 Mustang 5.0L 4spd. The vin # is 9R03F107482, I am wondering what size rear end and what transmission it has in the car. I have an 8.8 posi, would it fit in the rear axle.

I think the rear is a 7.5....not positive on that. The tranny I am unsure of

7.5" rear end, SROD 4 speed
And yeah, the 8.8 rear end should bolt right up.

punch the throttle and beat up that 7.5 til it gives up it would be fun. then put the 8.8 in it and yea its got the srod 4 speed manual trans if its bolted up to the V8 it supposed to hold up to 300 torque

Yeah, I could use the 8.8 out of my Ghia, I could always narrow a 9 inch.
