Where did you get the rods? Are they stock or aftermarket? Are they ARP? Measure them and see what size they are. My ARP's in my Scat I Beams got 55 lbs if I remember right.

That's just it. I don't know what bolts they are. I had the motor built years ago and was told they were arp rod bolts. I disassembled the motor a while back and was going 331 then decided to use what I have. Soooo, I'm reassembling the motor and have no Idea what to torque the rod bolts to.

The bolt doesn't say ARP (which they usually do, I cant remember seeing one not stamped) so I would assume they are not, is ARP on the nut? If not they are a "general replacement" rod bolt available from any parts house and should go back to factory specs or stretch.

Next question. How hard is it to upgrade to arp? Do I need a press or special tools? How are you removing the rod bolts to upgrade? Thanks.

Easy, we press them in and out..the rod should be resized at that time however. BY the time you buy rod bolts and pay to have them resized you can actually buy an aftermarket rod in most cases.
