What rods do I have

I have a set of rods that are supposedly out of a 94 gt but they have a casting number of F2TE not f1, what are these? Are they any good? Should I try to find some C8's. I have a 94 motor im tearing apart now but have not pulled the rods and pistons out to see what they are.

I've seen two stock 5.0's with broken F1's. Just me, but if I had a choice, I'd use the older C8's or buy new aftermarket rods with larger bolts if you plan on spinning it over 5500.

these are stamped f2 not f1, that is why I was wondering about them?

I can't say what the difference is, but apparently someone at Ford felt the rod needed a change. Hopefully it was for the better. The 2 broken F1's I saw were rod failures, not bolt failures. I can't say that it was due to the rod design though, it could have been to the lack of maintenence too. (not enough oil changes)
