I'm planning on going to the drive-in, in my 93 lx 5.0. What setting do I need to put my car in so I don't destroy the coil/battery??

"ACC", turn the ignition switch back toward you from the off position.

What you need that for? Just fold the rear seats down and get to work

off usually works. Why do you need it on at all? Don't you just grab the little speaker and hang it on your window anyways? or am I just old?

They make new pistons every day, so why worry?

haha, tells you what I know. LOL. I don't think I have even seen a drive in theater here in Arizona. Too hot in the summer to go to one. Makes it miserable.

Making memories in your 5.0 at the drive in, priceless!! If your battery goes dead while beatin that thang up then I hope you have a 5 spd so you can bump start it.

To bump start, key to on position, tranny in neutral, be classy and have your girl push it, put it in first and let out the clutch. Don't forget to get your girl before driving off!

Don't spin the tires either leaving her in a cloud of dirt. Probably wouldn't be getting that good night kiss.

Max93, where you located? Must be somewhere warm. Drive-throughs are a summertime thing.. Not a freeze your buns off in the winter type thing!

We still have a drive through in the DC area that's about 15 or miles from where I live. I went there once (about 8 years ago) and took my vert with the roof down (of course..). Nothing like watching a movie with the breeze blowing around you, looking up at the stars, hoping that the screen light makes you look 20 years younger, wishing the breeze wasn't blowing the cigarette smoke from the car next to you in your face, wishing it was smoke from wacky tobacky, eyeballing the shift leaver and thinking that the back seat might be more functional for what you have in mind, but I digress..

Anyway, while there I just turned the ignition key in the back ACC (short for Accessory I think) position, turned towards me, and left the radio on tuned to the right station. My vert always has jumper cables in the trunk anyway, but I didn't need them from just running the radio for a few hours.

Yupper... Shutdown city... and that's when it's open! Unlike today where it's a snow day.

I thought I set my location in my profile to say NoVA, so let me know if you don't see it. Not too far from where you are.. Hope you're off today.
