I am saddly still on my stock shocks and struts after 130K miles. I would like to replace them but am not sure what to go with?

I was thinking of just putting a set of Lakewood 70/30's in the front and 50/50 shocks in the back.

Also the verticle shock ( quad shock maybe?) Is it the same size as the other? What should i use to replace it?

Im interested to hear any info on other types and brands of shocks..

I'm not a dedicated drag racer, so I would choose Bilstein over all else. Not terribly cheap (~$450), but the best.

I second the Bilsteins. And they have a lifetime warranty.

From my understanding that refers to the way they give. 50/50 meaning that it takes just as much to push them in as it does to pull them out. Now 70/30 and 90/10's are designed when you take off that your front end lifts really easy and takes more pressure and longer for them to go back down... Hook up better this way because of the transfer in weight and keeping it transfered.

It's a ratio or percentage rebound rate. For example, a 50/50 shock is 50% of its rebound up and 50 percent of its rebound is down. 70/30: 70% rebound up, 30% rebound down. The more of a rebound rate it has upwards, the easier it is going to be to lift the front end.

Ill toss in a vote for the lakewoods. I know you drag race alot, and they are a proven performer, you wont be disapointed.

Also, i have the steeda heavy duty quad shocks... You might wanna look into them.

I love it... I keep my sway bar off as well. Works great together.

Does the front end feel like a big Lincoln though?

It does rise up easily, which is what i like. And without the sway bar, the car can sway from side to side.. Basically it just dips into the corners real bad if your going too fast. Its all worth it though, i love the weight transfer!
