When I KO/EO my 95 Mustang, I have the check engine light and charging system warning indicator(battery) light on at the instrument panel. Is this normal? What should be illuminated when you key on/engine off the car?
When I pulled my gauge cluster awhile back,I took a good look at all those lights/indicators that don't ever show up on my car.One is an O/D light.Another is a fan blade symbol.Not sure what that is,perhaps overheating or electric cooling fan.Another is for low oil.Also,it depends on what year you are talking about.Is it 94-98? or 99-04? Now,I don't recall if it was on mine,but sometimes there is a symbol that looks like a motor with a fan blade on the side.....then again,I could be thinking about GM.

One other symbol that should light up for about 3 seconds after you turn the key in the On position is the Airbag light.It should go off after this interval.
