So, I was at a friends Birthday and someone backed into my front bumper bending my license plate and chipping the paint right off the top left corner. I don't know who it was. Its about 1/8 in diameter. I also have some rock chips on the lower half and on the hood. I know its no show car but I like to keep my things looking nice. I have tried touch up paint on other cars with it not matching or it looking smeared. So what you do?

Thanks

is the paint not matching or is it not going on well? I got a small bottle of paint online and they recommended using a toothpick to touch up small spots. if the spots are too big, then you might need to just get the spray cans and redo the area. a little bit more work, but it will look nice afterward.

If it were me, I would get a different bumper since its in bad shape now. Try the touchup stuff on the hood and if that doesn't work later on down the road you can repaint it then.

I am looking at them but wondering which way I should go. The bumper is not as bad as I made it sound, I washed the car today and besides the chip, you can hardly see any other damage.

Would the Cobra R bumper look odd on my car ?

with or without the front splitter attached?

just get a 99-01 cobra bumper. youll destroy that front splitter in no time if your car is lowered

if it's just paint, check out Dr.ColorChip Custom Automotive Touch-Up Paint Kit - Dr. ColorChip: Automotive Paint Chip Repair Systems - this stuff is great.

I check it out and for $39 bucks it doesn't seem to bad, but I am not very good at painting, I tend to make a mess. So I think I might just leave the bumper for now because it is going to start raining soon and its getting windy. Maybe when the weather warms back up, and currently have no garage (full of crap).

However, what would all of you guys think if I....

Put on a Cobra R front bumper and rear wing. I thing the Cobra R's look soo cool. I plan on a supercharger in the near future so it will have some get up and go but I don't want to create a fobra.

Also my car is stock height suspension so would I have to worry about getting over speed bumps if I had the air splitter on. I know there are other bumpers I can use but I rather do something other than on 03/04 cobra bumper. Plus doesn't the cobra R bumper have better aerodynamics ?
