so far i get my intercooler welded together and soon buying pipes and cutting and rotating my intake and moving my alt to where the a/c was.i would like to know , should i buy a cam and some 42lbs injectors??or buy a header?? i dont know what cam to get tho , i want it to be a roller. and i want it for the 3500-5500rpm range for autocrossing, and how will the computer react to the 42lbs injectors, with a stock FPR and fuel pump?? will i need some tuning??

Get the header. You'll love the early spooling.
If you are auto-x'ing the Ranger Roller is right in that rpm range and cheap.
Save the big cam money and injectors and put it towards a FPR and adj cam sprocket.
Raise fuel pressure a little and play with cam timing.

I dont think the LA3 would like 42's with no reprogramming. I've never tried it but can't imagine a good idle or throttle response?

Hi 13's!
Lookin at your mods you should just about be there man.
What's goin on?

Have you got an IC on yet?
There's your power, in the boost and timing.

Personally , I think auto-cross and drag are 2 different cars, but if you can do it, hats off to ya.

I'd have to agree thatt those are 2 totally different car setup's. But as long as you are having fun what does it matter. I would go for the header, then roller, then get a chip burned(if you don't already have one) so that she can easily be tuned right

I was under the impression it is running fine.

Get an IC, that fuel pump and regulator. Priority 1.

A stock T3 should not need bigger injectors than 36lb.

Next I would do hogged out E6 or header

Once again, forget the big cam and injectors, wth a stock head and turbo, you could upgrade turbo first and get more for your money.

well i decide to take the knock sensor off and bring it for a run, and i seems to run fine now, no hesitation above 3500k that was making it slow down before, i think ill drive around more with the sensor un pluged and see what happens. what would cause it to retard the timing if its not even pinging?? i have heard odd motor noises will make it do it and is this a common thing with these motors for it this to happen??
