Mine was free - some paint and sandpaper I had laying around in the cabinet from a project I did I-dunno-how-long-ago.

I say keep it silver, powder or paint is up to you, I would just paint it, it isn't really out in the elements to get dinged or scratched.

Is it possible to put to put NON EFI 5.0 valve covers on a EFI 5.0L with a 1 inch intake spacer and short breathers?

I like these and it would be different.

You can, but you need spacers. They won't clear the rockers on E7's without 'em.

Dunno. Just what I've read from others that threw E7's onto their older (carb'ed and CFI) Foxes. I'm assuming that maybe it's because folks will also upgrade the cam at the same time and the increased lift causes issues with the rockers hitting the valve covers. Or maybe it was only the ones who upgraded to aftermarket roller-tip rockers at the same time that were having problems.

It depends. Are you going to just keep it somewhat looking stock or are you going to start really dressing it up. If you are definatly powder coat.
That white GT-40 looks sick and the cobra....oh my god.
