What should I do?

Whats up everyone,

So here is my situation. Back in January 2004, I bought a 2002 Vert. that I absolutely loved. It wasn't exactly what I wanted(color, no mach, etc.) but regardless I loved it. It was my first Mustang, and I had always dreamed of having one since I was 15.

Anyway, due to life, I decided to trade it in on a Honda Accord at the end of 2004 because my wife was pregnant. Ever since, I have regreted it.

I have tried to supplement the Mustang with other toys that I could afford to pay cash for since (Motorcycle, Jeeps, and most recently an older Vette). All have been fun, but none as fun as my old Mustang.

It took a while, but I have come to the conclusion that nothing will cure me but to suck it up, and put kid seats in the back of a Mustang.

I have 2 options.

1. Find a 2002-2004 GT Vert. that was similar to one that I fell in love with originally.

2. Get a 2007 GT Vert. built to my specs.

A couple things to consider though. I, like the rest of you on this forum, enjoy to mod my vehicles. If I select the 07 option, mods will definately be out until a promotion at work. However, if I get the older style, I could have some fun and mod is slowly like I did my original one.

Get the new Mustang for sure. The 05+ is built in a new state of the art factory and is much tighter and better built.

Also, the back seat is slighty larger.

I say get the 02 to 04

02 - 04, we've got both (see sig), and I would NEVER trade mine for a new one. Had the option of trading mine for an 07 and declined. My husband's car is great, and I think it's beautiful, but mine has a different feel to it, and I like it better. Plus you will miss the modding.

this is very true. Quality of S197 is pretty much par with some japanese cars.

BUT...
Dude, i donno about others, but they are soooo fugry imo. I understand it makes babyboomers to wet their pants and all, but I wasn't around back in late 60's, and i just can't relate to it like my girlfriend's dad can(he had 69 mach 1 in 1971, and incidently, he loves s197).

So if its up to me, let your wife roll on Hondah, and get your manhood back by getting SN95, or better yet, 03 or 04 Cobra Vert

Get anything you want, just don't go near the 05's and up. They're ugly as sin.

I say get the new one... just something about a brand new car that gets me. Wish I could have a new one, but I'll stick with my used 2000 GT for now.
