Im purchasing a new Mustang next spring. I wanted a Vert but sometimes just dont think the Mustang looks good in a rag top. Also cant get 3:73 gears. So my choices are glass roof or vert. Im in NY, this will be my daily driver and I have a Jeep for the winters. I need a little persuation. I had a vert Shelby GT before and my kids loved it.

Well, there's no substitute for a convertible, but you won't get the rigidity you have in the coupe, so if you plan to do any Autocross or anything, you'll probably want the coupe.

The Glass roof would be 1000 x better for lot of different reasons.
I drove Vert for 3 years ...... never again......thats for sure.
Verts are a 1 trick pony... its a good trick..... but.....not for me.

Umm, my vert is just as good looking with top up as down. Sometimes I think it looks meaner. What are the drawbacks for a vert if you are not racing it really?

Verts are nice. The glass roof option is definitely a cool option. Less noise, you don't have to have the top down for extra sun light, and you don't have AS much extra weight and loss in strength.
