What should I look for in a used Tweecer R/T

Are there different versions of the Tweecer R/T? Do newer models have more/better features. What should I ask before buying a used Tweecer?

No, the unit itself is the same. You can get different versions of software though.

I do not have a tweecer but considering the tweecer is a programmable device, it really doesn't change. unless more ports or switches become available for it. It's the program that changes. I'd check out the tweecerdiscussion.org(somethin like that) place, they'd know for sure.

Just installed a PMS and it's awesome! You should look into these also.

Does the PMS offer real time display for tuning and a switch between two programs like the tweecer (i think does)? or any other special features with the pms?

Did you get your initial tune from AFM or do it on your own? I've been reading up on stangtuning.com.

It has 3 separate data programs, which means you can toggle through 3 differents saved tunes.
Yes it gives a nice real time display.

You pointed me to Troy's site and now here I am with an O4 PMS.
I 'm just trying to get in a tune from someone else with the same combo. There is alot of tweaking to do to get it close to perfect but it's so simple to be able to go through all of the settings.

JR when I get mine installed I'm calling Troy on the phone. I'm sure he could give you some settings since he's got a blower too. You eventually going to buy a wideband? The new AEM one is gorgeous. Wish I had that when I had the blower. Would have saved me some head gaskets and wrench time.

Does anybody have a pic of the tweecer mounted. I just saw JR with his PMS and it looks pretty sweet (although it looks like the old game boy advance)

So I see these for sale also. Are these better than the Tweecer? Did you buy yours new? Any thoughts on what to look for in a used one?

It's new and getting a used one is shady unless it's from someone you know. It's a simple plug and play tune device and cost more than the TwEEcer. I'm not sure about which one is better factually but I like the PMS more.

well do we know differences. as i understand, JR said that the
1) PMS has 3 modes/preset programs you can toggle through while i think the tweecer has a switch for 2
2) The tweecer has many more help sections and downloadable programs
3) The tweecer is cheaper

anything else?

don't know what the head unit for the tweecer looks like though.

How many programs do you really need? 2 i'd think- race and cruise.. unless u could tune for freeway, city, and race; there's 3
