what size blow off?

what size blow off valve should be used for a stock 2.3T with an intercooler, exaust, and maybe eventually a boost valve?

I don't know about "size," but I know a few have used the TIAL blow-off valve.
I've been lurking the boards for over 2 years and I've learned many things; but No. 1: What is Stinger doing? Check his website ... www.stinger-performance.com ... (I'll take 10% on anything he buys Stinger )

Any "size" will work...typically they will have around a 1" opening which is sufficient...

well some of them say 40mm 60 mm ect. so i was wondering if it mattered.

You sure you're not looking at wastegates?

i just remembered. i was looking at a post on a forum. yes, it was about a wastegate. but i should run a light spring correct? ive always wondered why some ricers have a blow off valve that sounds like a baby chimp laughing. i learned that, thats caused the blow off spring, being too stiff, and forcing air back out through the turbo backwards, which can destroy turbos. also, how much boost does a stock 2.3T out of a merkur produce?

Wastegates and blow off valves are completely different things and are not interchangeable...

You need a spring heavy enough to keep the valve closed at idle.

A Merkur produced like 12psi stock but the turbo is the same as any other T3 which can make up to 22-23psi efficiently.
