Friend needs to replace a section of stainless fuel tubeing. What size is it?

I'm guessing you mean the solid tube that runs under the body.

argh...

i can't decide between 5/16 and 3/8...

i'm leaning towards 5/16 though.

Yup, that's what i meant.

Specifically right near the fuel filter headed to the engine.

I wanted to say 5/16 too

Yeah I think that's right. Pretty sure the Nylon line is 3/8 and the solid line is 5/16.

do you have a caliper? hard lines are measured outside diameter unlike the soft lines. Also remember that the line to the engine is a different size than the return line....

Only at the rails.
The lines under the body, where the fuel filter is hooked in, are the same diameter for send and return.
