hey guys i have a 85 with a 83 flat tappet 302 in it. i just put on a set of windsor sr heads on it, it has a weiand stealth intake, holley 600, mac shorties, off road h-pipe, mac pro dumps, and some kind of cam in it (i don't know what cam but it seems bigger than my friends e cam. it has a c-4 with a stock stall in it, and a 8.8 rear with 3.73's. when i give it full throttle, off idle to 4000 rpm is o.k. but after 4000 rpm it feels like a turbo kicking in and it takes off like a bat out of hell. the guy i bought the car off had the cam put in so i have no clue what cam it is. i want to put a stall convertor in it, this car will see the track alot and will only come out to play on weekends, what stall do you guys sugest?

3000 stall in my big block, wish i would've went 3500 or bigger, i only drive it on the weekend though, but the stall is very streetable.

As with any aftremarket torque converter, GET A LARGE TRANNY COOLER.

I suggest the TCI ten in Streetfighter, or whatever they call it this week.

I have one, stalls about 25-2800 and put my 82 into the 12s on motor. Don't stay with the stock size 11 in, it will still kill the low end. I'd go with this or the next looser, and get the nitrous reinforcing plates.

I have a similar car to yours, but I have 4.10 gears.

When you nail it, it rocks.
