I just bought some new 17x9 front and 17x10.5 rear gunmetal cobra rims. Look beutiful but now i run into the porblem of what size tire I can fit. I was thinking 255/40/17 for front and the back I have no clue I would like to run some 315/35/17 but I think it may rub. If anyone has put this type of wheel setup on a 99-04 v6 please tell me.

i just got my rims and tires put on today!! i have 17" black bullitt deep dish rims on the back (10.5" wide) with 315/35/17 on the back. i have 245/45/17 on the front (9" wide rims). i have a 98 model, so those tires should fit on your 99-04 model since your mustang body style is overall larger anyways. i have no problems with rubbing either. hopefully i can get some pics posted in the next couple of days. hope this helps.

245s for a 9 wide is WAY to narrow and it will look like CRAP .... bad way to go.

for a 10.5.... you are going to need a massive tire... like a 315... maybe more.

Wrong...

I have seen the 245/45's on 98greenmachine's car and they are flush with the rim...and give a slight bit more "turning clearance"...and the 315's on the back look very nice

On my 2000 Gt I had I had 255/45/17's and they fit very nicely also and I ran them all around...
