All I can say is WOW. According to your logic Ferrari is crap compared to KIA. It must be, Kia sells way more than Ferrari!!!! The market is held by the cheapest, not the best. Walmart must have the highest quality stuff too . You pay a premium for a Mac, there is a reason, it is called superiority. The real free market is the stock market my friend. That is where you compare who is the best. Let's see, Microsoft shares closed at $30.89 today. Apple closed at $108.74. Hmmm, wonder who the better quality product is. Ya, but millionaires don't know anything . Rant over.

Now you're also being unfair. If you want to look at it that way, paying a premium for "superiority", look at alienware computers instead of dell or something of that quality. Let's compare the best alienware available to the best mac available... not even a comparison, alienware kills it. What is your next argument going to be, "they're not in the same price range"? If you want to talk about premiums vs premiums, PC wins.

The #1 reason that PCs take up so much of the market is because that is what everyone has grown up using. That's what they are used to and know how to run how they want to. To be completely honest the second I pulled my Macbook out of the case i had it running and didn't have a problem figuring out how to do anything that I wanted to. Most people wouldn't even consider buying a MAC because they never have and don't know the first thing about computers. I personally doubt I will ever buy a PC again, and if I do it will have XP on it. Windows releases their operating systems before they have everything debugged. Look at windows ME, it was like buying a virus to run as your OS.

thats funny, i had the same experience with my Dell laptop. pulled it out, pressed "on" and went to work. then again, im not an idiot. it cost me 750$, whats a crapbook cost these days?

i think mac's are for total ****tards who shouldnt use a windows based pc anyways cause theyre too stupid to do things right. and thats fine, if all you want to do is browse the net, play with youre little iPod, mess with pictures/videos, by all means, buy a mac. if you want to run servers and play real games, run real programs, etc. stick to pc's. plus the fact if you know what youre doing, a pc will be more reliable, spyware/adware/malware/virus/trojan free, and run the same way it did the day you plugged it in 3 years later.

i cant wait till macs become more popular, and programmers start writing viruses for them (since, its so not worth it to ruin the day of 10 emo kids as it would be to ruin the day of 10000 wannabe hipsters) and we see how crap mac's are. they think theyre above windows like "well never get virus' or the things that make windows suck" and are lured into a false sense of security that will soon be trampled, and their users will be too stupid to figure out how to fix it.

btw i just use Windows Movie Maker. with 2gb of ram, XP x64 and a 7800gt-oc, i dont have any issues making large movies. Im working on a 11 minute long video of my car, its using "Rosetta Stoned" by Tool as a background. ive only had it crash once, and thats cause at the same time i was burning a DVD, i had 3 torrents downloading at 200kbps each, and i had three tabs open on mozilla, and i think i was listening to music as well. while the computer went into a loop, the dvd still finished recording fine, and i save every 5 minutes so that wasnt a problem. i think it had to do with the fact i didnt turn any other fans on the case, i just had the power supply exhaust and the processor fan on, i shouldve turned my 120mm intake fan, my two 80mm side fans that point towards the 3d card and to the processor, and my two 80mm exhaust fans on to get some airflow like i do when i run games.
