what spark plugs do you guys use? whats the optimum gap?

what plugs do you guys use?? ive always ran autolite 25's and gapped them at .060( since i had a screamin demon coil and they said i was able to set them there with their coil).....the car ran nice and strong! now i have a msd blaster coil and wondered if i was able to gap them at .060 as well?what do you guys think? what plugs do you run and at what gap? thanks guys...gonna go tommorow and get some plugs

Motorcraft or Autolite 25's. Have ran 24's. Gapped at .054. Then side-gapped. Then indexed.

autolite 23s gapped at 32..may not work so well for you since ur not FI...maybe you could go down to 24s?

not yet dudegot everything but the gaskets and fuel pump

ooo nice. You should be fine with the 25s...I say 24s just because ur car will be running with higher cyl. temps with a full hci and it'd just be a bit of a safety deal.

good luck with the hci once you get the gaskets and fuel pump..let us know how it turns out

oh yeah, if I'm not mistaken those msds put out quite the spark so you might wanna try it with what you have it at now...and then gap it a bit smaller and see what the diff. is like.

If/when you do the HCI, you will probably not be running twenty series plugs anymore anyhow.

I'm with Justin and what he's used in the past. 24's at stockish gap. You really need an ignition box to open the gap up much.

Dont forget to use some neverseize.

i ran autolite ASF42c at a 35 gap and my car ran perfect before i did the twin turbo setup
