Infinity makes a really nice speaker in their Reference line that should fall into that price catagory. I sell Car stereos and of the brands and of all the brands I sell they have the best all around sound for the money. They are also efficient speakers so you can run them well off your head unit, but they handle enough power so you can amp them later if you prefer.
