Hey guys, I'm looking to get a new stall converter for my 4r70w. I see a website that has a converter for $308. I believe it's 11 3/4 diameter and has a stall speed of 2500 rpm. Is this a good speed to utilize with 4:10's and future cam upgrades, porting and polishing, etc....also, does anybody have an idea on how much it would cost to have it installed? Any useful advice is greatly appreciated.

The website I found the converter on was www.transmissioncenter.net. I know they're legit because my brother in law has done major business with them before. They have a large inventory and they happened to be the first choice on my search engine. Legit enough for me. I agree with you propellerhead, but the 2500 stall seems to be more of a universal fit and is more adaptable to changes than one fit for the current status of your engine. I plan to do more work to my car, so I want one that has all-around good capabilities. I think....

Anything less than 2800 stall is going to be a waste. I know, I have a 3k stall and I say so lol. Precision Industries is the brand I recommend. I bought mine from Houston Performance about 1yr. ago shipped for 714. Night and day difference when you launch at WOT. I highly recommend it. You'll love it with those 4.10's you have.
