Hey guys i was wondering what subframe connectors should I put on my 02 saleen...which is the best in your opinions?

I am running these subs from Global West. Even with only a couple thousand miles on my coupe, creaks and rattles developed. The subframes really stiffened the body up and got rid of the noises. They aren’t’ cheap but just about any sub from a quality manufacturer, like Maximum will provide a noticeable improvement.

In principle, they all do the same thing if installed correctly. I have had the MM's, some from Kenny Brown, and Global West.
My favorite would have to be the Global West subs with seat supports. That is from an uneven entry and exit standpoint. The GW's also need some preparation but the ends are substanitial and welds are clean.
Headpaneer has the tri ladders.

I don't know how it's supposed to reduce weight. It helps stiffen the chassis up and reduce flex.

Well then what the heck am I thinking i wanted then... what is in the front of the car to help the suspension then that is supposed to "reduce weight and stiffen the chassis"????

Maybe you are thinking of an aftermarket K-Member that anchors to the front unibody subframe and serves as the mounting point for the engine and suspension. Most, if not all of them weigh less than the factory K-member. I would still get subframes before a K-member though.

I have mine scheduled for a Kenny Brown Extreame Matrix system and lower front K member brace to be installed the same time they put in my 9lb KB. Should be in the next few weeks. Just waiting for all the parts to arrive at the shop, and to get an appointment time. Will give my thoughts on the matrix system when I get it back.

You won't be dissapointed. You know Kenny Brown learned everything he knows from working for Saleen years ago.

For those with subframe connectors installed, do you have any issues with ground clearance on them. GSR Performance (Shop in Mission Viejo, CA) make their own set that step up as they go, sort of molding to the underside of the car. They told me ones that don't have clearance issues. Curious if any of you have that problem.

No clearance issues here. I have never scraped any part of the sub frame connectors.

You know me. I think you met Headpaneer at Crystal cove also. We both have the Global West subs from Joe at Chicane. Joe also sells Maximum Motorsports products. I have the MM camber caster plates. Joe can get or will sell you whatever you want. I trust him to tell me what products he likes best even if they are from different manufacturers. Like me, I have the GW subs ( single w/seat supports ) and MM cc plates. Head has the tri ladder set up. A few more lbs but even stiffer and what I like is that you can jack the car up from any spot on the tri ladders ( they come right to the bottom edge of the car.

Oh yea, no clearance issues whatsoever and I have coilovers.

You need to drive or ride in a car with properly installed subframe connectors. You will know what we are talking about then.

I've got the KB Extreme Matrix system on my speedster.

Very solid ride, little cowl shaking even bouncing over railroad crossings and
the typical Maryland pot-holed and patched roadways.

And no clearance problems.
