I was just wondering what suspension stuff I should get. What I mean is what is a good quality brand that makes quality products, but won't cost me an arm and a leg. I've heard good things about maximum motorsport, but they are just a little pricy for me.
slight upgrade the best deal proably mach 1 shocks and stuts with ford springs. will get you done for $300 or so.
once you step up above this approach it just levels out at $600-$700. $200 or so for spings(eibach, h&r, etc) and $400-500 for shocks and struts(koni, tokico ILL, bilstein). I wanted to a good drop because I just can't stand the amount of fender gap on the stangs so h&r supersports for me. I went with bilsteins because I know they will last. I plan to keep my car for a wile though. so everthing I do has long life in mind. the ride was a bit harsh to me at first but the more I drive it the less I notice. the car drives like it should now. factory suspention just blew.
CC plate may be need at 1.5 or better drop. I got them just because I like the idea of have contol of the level of the strut after you lower the car. if you drop your car 1.5 you should raise the strut 1.5. now if you drop 1" and get fox body shocks and stuts you are golden becaue the shock and struts are 1" shorter. 1" was just not enough for me.
all of this mubo jumbo is what sold me on bilstein. they are just desinged to work on lowered vehicles.
KYB, eibach make shocks and sturts as well but I had a hard time getting enough info when I was looking. qa1, strange make them as well but I get the impression they are more drag oriented.

Go maximum Motorsports for the Control Arms. 259 but totally worth it. The LCA's are the weakest link in mustang rear suspension so spend the buck there. Then get some steeda springs for 200 bucks and some tokico dampers from www.fordpartsnetwork.com for like 179. Can't get much more budget than that if you still want quality stuff.

Well i'm sorry i didn't explain the goals. I want to go all out with goods for the least cash possible without throwing away quality. (lower control arms, shocks and struts, upper control arms, subframe connectors, ect.) I want the car to hook great on and off the track. It's mostly a street racing machine.
CHeck my sig...i got everything suspension without the subframe conn. for 600 installed. Tokico shocks are some of the best you can buy, and their springs are awsome. My car was dropped 1.5" in the fron and 1 in the back. Handling and roll improved 100% and the ride is as good as stock
I'm kinda' partial to their TVS system -- what a well thought out kit. Add the struts and you've got yourself a handling machine. Without the struts, this kit is WAY more suspension than most people have the ability to drive.
