I think I need to change mine....it seems to be going down hill...the car only heats up to about 140* even after I drive it for over 30 min, it just really doesnt get warm...so I think its about time to change it. What is the best one to run? Thanx

I run a 180 degree with no problems at all. Either that or the stock 195 degree would be a good choice.

I put in a hypertech module and it came with a 165 and a retuned octane rod for the distributor. My car runs cool but when I am in stop and go traffic I'm glad I have it. A coool engine is better then a hot one make sure you drive your car in alot of stop and go traffic before switching it out.

True an engine running cooler is better than an engine overheating, but if it is constantly running too cool, your computer will never come out of closed loop, or where it is in some sort of choke mode. You won't get very good gas mileage if it never heats up some. That's why the 160 degree thermostat is not really recommended. A lot of times people say that a 160 degree t-stat is just covering up for a poor cooling system.
