today i installed an electric fan and new aluminum radiator, now i need to know what temp to set the relay on to switch on the electric fans? I got it hooked to the ac for power when the switch is powered on, but i need to adjust the temperature, FYI I have a mishmoto radiator, 180* thermostat, and two electric fans with a new shroud. Thanks guys!

Is the t-stat balanced or not? You would want the fan to shut off at about 10* over the fully-open temp of the t-stat. On a balanced 180* t-stat, the fan could be set to shut off at 190*F. On a non-balanced stat, that fully-open threshold might be 10-15* higher.

In any case, set the on-threshold to 8* or so above the off temp.

So if the 180* t-stat is balanced, on at 198* and off at 190* would be reasonable.

Your stat should be balanced.
