So I was replacing the upper control arm on the stang and noticed the hose to my trans cooler wasn't attached in the middle. It's missing the double ended male threaded part that connects the trans hose to the cooler hose. I have no idea what these are called, I seen them and tried to explane it to the Kragan guy, the Auto-Zone guy and the NAPA guy, and they either don't know what I'm talking about or don't carry it. One guy at Auto-Zone told me to take it in to the dealer! lol.

Anyways I figured I could get on online but I'm not sure what it's called.
Here's a pic:

You Know what, your right, I looked at it again and it's connected to the AC cooler not the trans cooler. I feel like an idiot. Well the good news is that my AC doesn't work anyway.

No need to reply everyone the situation is under control.

Around here you're lucky if they speak English. The ones that do still don't understand anything about cars. The job turnover is insane too; there are new people every two months so the flunkies there are constant trainees. I have had to resort to looking it up online and bringing a printout of the part numbers. Then I found out(the hard way) that their system doesn't always give you the right number.

I don't need to reply, but the A/C fittings are usually flare type, kinda like Aeroquips. None of the parts stores are likely to have stuff like that, let alone understand what you're talking about. I would look to classic Mustang suppliers like NPD.

The Kragens, Autozones, etc. are pretty useless unless you can tell them a specific make model and year and they can look it up on the computer. Plus their parts are made by the "lowest cost provider" which translates to lowest quality.

Yeah, I want to see namebrands on my parts, not "Duracrap" and "made in India". They never have what I need in stock either. I mean come on, how hard is it to stock a 9" housing gasket?

EDIT: I'm done going off-topic.

well, if you ever want to hook your ac back up you need the POV valve that goes between those 2 hoses, sometimes referred to as the sight glass valve also.
