Does this make sense....

if the car is not down on power it is not down a cylinder... if it is not down a cylinder it can't be a rocker, lifter, or pushrod....

ha ha its a mystery alright ****ing car. Got the driver side vc off everything looks normal to me working on getting the pass side off. What really pisses me off is I have to have it back together fixed or not by tuesday cause its in front of our camper so I might be tearing it apart just to put it back together to tear apart again

Funny you say that Joe I already said **** it I'll push it out of the way with my truck. I was on the phone with my mom at the time and she was like "No you can't do that"

Well yanked teh VC's everything looks normal. Started it up and its still there but it sounded like its coming from deeper in the engine so idk. My dad was helping me out with it and he's stuck on a rod bearing or a messed up valve.

Took a couple vids today while it was running

Wow that guy ****ed up his car. Mine don't sound that bad and nothing blew ou my engine "yet" lol.

Dad said drain the oil and see if i find any metal. I'm feeling like **** today didn't wanna do what i did so i don't know if I'll drain it or not. Maybe I can wait till he gets back and move the camper around while I can start the car.

Hmm. That's not all that many miles. Mine had about 150k. It really does sound like lifters but like you said, it must be something deeper. If you are looking for a great deal on a short-block call Ken at newengineparts.com. They did a great job on the 306 that is in my car and shipped it was $1800 with B-cam, arp rod bolts, flat top pistons, and even with rebuilt stock E7's at the time (that I replaced with the TW). The car runs pretty strong too.
