I've got about $800 to spend on the car right now. What should i get. the motor is stock except for pullies TB and shorty headers and an unknown cam (in it when the car was bought) I have rear drag coils and drag shocks. Front drag struts and 4.10's with a T5. I just cant figure out where it would be best to drop this money. Also the miles on the engine are pretty much unknown. I was plannin on doing a compression test this weekend though.

Intake manifold, larger MAF, K&N filter.

Drag radials (or slicks) and a Tri-Ax shifter sho you can powershift will give you the biggest improvement at the drag strip, especially with the 4.10 gears you already have.

intake, x-pipe or h-pipe which ever you think sounds better, shifter, and you can stretch that if you get used parts.

Some nice aluminum heads would be a big help. I am not sure if $800 will cover it, but just keep saving. After the heads everything else will be down hill.

Heads are where the big power is, but you have to get a better intake first. We did heads on a car with a stock intake once ad it was less than 10HP back to back on the dyno. Couldn't get enough air through the stock intake to take advantage of the heads.

I dunno, if i could afford it, i'd rather do the big stuff first like the heads, then get the smaller stuff like the intake. But since i can't afford to do that, i just get the small stuff first.
