I just picked up a 99 black gt 5-speed with black interior. Right now for mods it has a bassani high flow cat Xpipe, flowmasters catback w/3" tips, ram air kit with k/n air filter, and its lowered 1.5". It also came with life time XM radio, 2 10" subs and amp , new brakes and tires.
I was planning on eventually throwing a supercharger on it but i wanna start out with the smaller stuff that would be needed for the s/c or would just make the car more powerfull. I was thinking pulleys, throttle body, and whatever bolt ons to give it more power. I wanna be 350hp but 400 is my goal.
Just give me some ideas and where to find it.
Thanks

If you do some research you'll find the best thing is to NOT buy all the little stuff and start saving for the supercharger.......... Buy a kit and all you need is in there..

If you want a supercharger definately dont buy pulleys or an air intake. Save up for a COMPLETE s/c kit which contains a fuel pump, injectors, the unit, brackets/lines/tubes/hoses, tuner. Should be around $4000 new, possibly even with an intercooler.

i just thought a few little things would help the car perform better with the supercharger. What do you all recomend for a complete supercharger kit and where do i get one for a good deal. Id like to spend around 3k and i want a decent setup but i heard the engines dont handle alot of power

The engine will handle the amount of horsepower your looking for very well with a good tune.....

Just use the search button.....all you ever wanted to know about the kits is already here....

I personally haven't looked at forced induction yet but vortech usually offers a good price for a competitive kit..... type it in in the search and I'm sure you'll bring up a million threads

Werd. But I would start with 4.10's. I had them on my GT before the blower and they were a BLAST! Loved them. I have some videos floating around here showing me driving around with them.

Yes, as long as it checks out with a compression test and leak down test. You want consistant numbers within 10% of eachother. Don't buy a blower until those tests are done and look good.

As far as your cars value, check out kbb.com . It's probably worth 8 or 9 grand.

Speaking of high miles...I also have a 96 with about 95k on it and I really want to do 3.73 gears...Should I worry about doing the bearing kit also if it's not giving any problems, or just do the regular kit?
