What should i do next? I drive the car daily and enjoy bracket racing.

Oh yeah I need mods that aren't going to break the bank, so start from the cheapest.

Next two things I was thinking was Custom Dyno tune at a local shop and a BMR Sway bar eliminator, then maybe 15 inch front runner skinnies.

Are you looking for go-fast mods or show mods, or both?

For go-fast I would say one-piece drive shaft, longtubes, P&P heads and cams or a blower.

For show, maybe the roush front bumper, I also like functional heat-extracting hoods since they should help a lot in under-hood temps.

The skinnies are a good drag racing mod. Are you talking about the BMR radiator support that deletes the front swaybar? I wouldn't do that for a daily driver, you can but I just wouldn't. The dyno tune could be worth a lot, 5-10+, but do you know you canned tune isn't very close? My is a little off, A/F is pretty close but it needs more timing, I might be able to pick up a few more with some timing.

i haven't had my front sway bar on since a week after i bought my car. turns aren't as fun as they used to be, but i have a 4 inch wheel in the front, so they aren't going to be fun regardless of front sway bar or not.

i love the skinnies and i love the sway bar delete, drive the car everyday.

i haven't heard too good of things on ported and polished heads for these cars, for the money spent on the heads, compared to the power increase, i could see the money being spent towards a blower, or forged internals for the blower down the line so you can run higher boost without worrying.

Easy. CMCVs and a VMP Tuning dyno tune ... ;)

Next get an aluminum driveshaft, Steeda Radiator Support, etc.

:D:D

i like your ideas ;) for some reason when you post i always smile :rlaugh: Florida boys ftw.

Yeah it looks like im going to have justin do my car jan 30th early in the morning for a tune because im racing that night in the Arm Drop Race at PBIR. Doesnt look like ill be doing CMCV's though because id have to have them purchased, installed and rdy for justin to tune on the 30th i dont think my wallets can handle it :(

good to know, i forsee skinnies and sway bar delete in my future.

Might want to just wait until you can do them. If not, let him know that you're going to be doing CMCVs. I think he'll do a re-tune for free if it's so long within getting tuned.

The sway bar is just to each their own. I don't think it's dangerous, I just like to turn as well:D FWIW I auto-x more than I drag race.

People are making as much as 380 at the wheels with heads and cams on these cars, depending on the bolt-ons of course. Which is as good as some of the lower end blowers. But I said heads/cams OR a blower, didn't know if he was a hard core NA guy or not.

cool, yeah I don't know if im going to do them, i may or may not i heard of issues with them for daily drivability? I dunno we'll see it may not be worth all the trouble for 8-10hp. I could put money into 15 inch wheels for all 4 tires :D

I have delete plates with no drive-ability issues. When the engine is cold (when it's colder than about 40 out) it looses some low end, but as soon as the engine warms up it runs great.

I can promise you that Justin can tune for these things with ZERO driveability issues. We tested these on my car on the dyno for a while to see what worked and what didn't. I did not lose any driveabilty, no gas mileage, no low end power, etc. All of those things can happen with the addition of CMCVs but it's the result of poor tuning.

you had to grind alot if your runnin a 1/4 inch spacer unless your a 05. am i correct?

cause i'm running the front runners and i needed a 7/16th spacer. could run a 3/8th but it was just a pain in the ass getting it to not rub.

what size short belt did you need? i am considering doing that for at the track, not sure though, looks like it might be a pain compared to my old 5.0s 4 ft of room in the engine bay. i could climb in there and do the short belt haha.
