all right, i dont know what I should do first, and I need some input. The shocks and struts have 175,000 miles on them so they need to be changed, and the body seams and torque box reinforcements need to be welded in as well. I really need some gears though because the 'ol aod really needs some help. I mean seriously, I'm gettin' my a$$ kicked right now and I just can't take it anymore. :notnice:  :nonono:

I have about 600 to spend. So whats the smart move?

If your suspension is shot, you need to fix that first. It's going to get unsafe to drive your car if those rear shocks are too worn out.

The Gears and install might cost over $600.00 anyway. Performance is nice, but safety should be a priority

Gears will show the most improved performance.

The suspension has to be done anyway. However, unless it is sloppy worn and loose in the ball joints and tie rod area, worn front struts will enhance weight transfer on launch, and are not a bad thing. If it is still stable at 100 plus at the far end, leave it alone......

I think i picked up my gears for about 160 shipped...i got the rebuild kit from 5.0 resto for 50 bucks...and i paid 200 to have them installed. Oh and i had to buy a couple quarts of gear lube and a speedo gear. So total cost for gears was just over 425. I picked up a set of KYB struts on ebay for 100 bucks shipped for the front. So thats only about 550 bucks so far and you get both taken care of. However i wouldnt bother throwing those struts in until i got lowering springs/plates and rear shocks, just not worth it with worn out stock springs and ride height. good luck
