OK. So I conviced the wife to let me make a few mods. I run a '00 GT convertible. I'm thinking suspension first, engine second, beyond that I figure I will have run out of money.
So... what kind of fun should one have with $5,000 in mod budget?
Seriouly!

id say get a 4.10, rear suspension work, tires, full exhaust, 125 shot of the okie doke, a good dyno tune, and save some money incase something ever happens to the car, youll probably have 2000 to spare

honestly tho, wait on the supercharger till you get these done:

short throw shifter
gears (4.10 is what i went with)
exhaust
suspension
cams
stage 2 port/polish heads
forged internals
then you should be set for a supercharger

this is the plan i have laid out for my car. i have plans for a kenne bell so some of these mods are to prepare my car for it.

but then you could always skip the forged internals and get a KB with 9psi or less and a REALLY GOOD TUNE and theoretically you should be alright (information based on what i heard from ppl here on stangnet)

although i have yet to get most of these mods so what do i know

just my .02

they say with a good tune you will be ok with 9psi or less. just dont get crazy. Personally i prefer to forge the inernals prior to supercharging because i know i will want to up the psi once i get a taste of it. Its cheap insurance compared to what it would cost you if you blew a rod through your block or something.

Ah yes... the intentions. Ahem. Well... to drive fast and keep in on the road :rlaugh:.
No really... it's an auto, so not much to do with the tranny. I am not real wild about the beast above tripple digits. Get's a little flaky. Rear-end suspension leaves something to be desired.
It's just my weekend, go to work on a nice day mobile. Do not plan to race or autocross, although the latter could be fun. Haven't done that in a few years.
