I replaced my T-5 with a Tremec TKO500 but still have my T-5 laying around. Does anyone know anyone (companies, persons) who would give me anything for it? The countershaft and input shaft need replacement but the rest of the gears are in really good shape. I was going to repair it and put it back in but figured I would break it again so I got the TKO 500. I was thinking of getting a new counter and input shaft and maby a rebuild kit and then selling it. What would it be worth? Maby I should just fix and sell it w/o the rebuild.

I don't think I could do it myself, but I'll let my co-worker do it and we'll split the profits.

I think I'll just keep it because I found the parts I will need:

Countershaft: $250
Input shaft: $150

so that's $400 plus it's the Z spec stuff so it's upgraded.

Rebuild kit: $250

So this jacks the price to $650

upgraded 3rd gear would be another hundred.

I think I will keep it so if I get another vehicle which is swappable then I will have a tranny ready to go. I've quite a collection of stock parts piling up. I might get a 4 banger and do a conversion or a ranger, something like that.

ALL you'll need is a long chain

anyone in their right mind isnt gonna pay that for a t-5. In most ppl's eyes they are junk trannies. They sell for 400-500$ all the time. Thats the going price. you'd be better off to sell like it is or fix it and keep it. or uhh.. find an idiot to buy it. hehe
