I did a quick search but I really couldn't come up with any conclusions. I am almost done with suspension for now, and now it is time to do the motor. I would love to keep the current tranny, because I have a new clutch, flywheel, driveshaft as per my sig states.

I really wanted to go the 302 route but it seems like it is a lot of headache. What exactly needs to be changed to put a 302, into a 99 GT? Would it bolt up to my transmission?

Or the other choice is to try to find a aluminum 4.6L block and work on that.

I really wanna go aluminum block and aluminum heads for the sake of shaving off some weight from the front end, (will also be getting a tubular K member and an A arm).

Money is an issue, I am not ready to spend 10G's on a motor, if I was I'd just buy a crate motor and stick it in.

Sorry if this is a repeat question but as I have stated earlier I tried to search and coudln't come up with any good answers, being from overseas and being interested in german cars doesn't help me much either.

Thanks

Not the 03-04's and thats the one with forged interals. Also when used with 2v heads raises the compression.

Engine Might have to get a Dart block but don't want to and if I do, then 363 instead of 331. Thoughts on what I've already bought so far.......
