well after looking for a long time i finally got the dual gauge pod that replaces the dash clock on a 94 gt, what do you guys think i should put in there?....i'm thinking oil pressure since mine doesnt work but what else should i go with
oil pressure is a bitch to hook up on our cars. also does anyone know if you get a water temp gauge and tae out the old sender does it affect anything with our electric fan turning on? thanks
i just bought i new thermostat gauge houseing that held the water temp sensor. I think taking the stock gauge out will affect the fan coming on or off.

i dont know about the fan-switch situation on your cars. if the fan switch is elsewhere (like in the radiator or something) you can always relocate the stock temp sender to the rear intake (that location gives a less accurate reading, but works) and put the new gauge in the stock front location.
or some t-stats work too, as said.

No...the sending unit that goes to the stocker is ONLY used for the gauge. (Driver's side, directly into lower intake.)
What controls A/F at different temps AND the fan is the ECT sensor, located in the outlet on that pipe that returns water from the heater core, and then goes back into the lower intake...that is on the pass side.
MY VOTE: OIL Pressure and Water Temp....You can tap into the SAME ground, SAME power source, and SAME dimmer source. You can even run them together through the fire wall....than branch them off to their respective sending units. I would change the oil, then replace the oil sending unit with the filter off to make it easier...just dry fit the filter first. I used a 2" extenstion fitting to give the Oil sending unit more surrounding space.

I wanted to keep the stock ones too, so I put the Autometer WTG in the stock location, got a new after market waterneck with a screwhole in the top, and put the stock sending unit in there. Now I have a good idea what temps the N.O.R.M.A.L represent on the stocker. You can get a T-fitting to make the stock OPG and AUTOmeter one work, but I have the Vortech drain line already in there, so I would have had a mess if I kept both. The stock OPG is the most useless stock gauge anways.
