what tranny

guys,

I drive the car on a fairly regular basis, but i want a car to hold up to abuse. My 2 options are a tko 600, or a t56. what would you all do?? I like 6 speeds, but the tko seems to be more durable, and weigh less. what to do?

i would go with a gforce for ease of installation, just goes right where the T5 did

i second the gforce.from what ive read they use your t5 with there stuff inside,that way you dont have to change the bell housing or modify anything else,it just bolts right back into place.simple.if i remember correctly its around $1600.you can either send them your trans or you can order there parts and have some one in your area do it for you.

If i went with a 6speed...it would have to be the viper spec with the .50 6th gear...but it costs about my left arm and leg!

Take your pick from a gforce and tremec 600 i think. I went with the tko600. It was easier to make the decision because gforce was behind on orders and the tko was at the shop waiting. I think with both trannys being properly installed, you will be equally happy!

can i order a gforce, and send in my core later? or do i have to send them my tranny, and have them build it. do you guys know a website that i can go to for gforce? thanks,

I got a complete price, including the sfi approved scattershield of 2250 for the tremec. will i need a different clutch with either one? the gforce is going to be significantly more expensive. the clutch will be the only other thing i need with the tremec, correct?
