from experience I would recomend not going beyong .030 with you engine if you are going to use it hard. we have had problems with cylinder cracking at .040 and beyond. But it is nothing that sleeves wont fix.

Is this a turbo motor that you are disassembling. If so it may be possible the stock piston will be ok but with new rings. You have to know what your goals are. How much horsepower? Where in the rpm range you want the power? And most of all how much cash do you want to spend? It will cost you more to get in the 12's with a 2.3 than a 5.0. If you want to do it right you'll be spending at minimum $3,000. I'm currently having a 5.7 rod motor built with some H beam rods, valves and springs I got off of ebay for a good price. With porting I will be spending about $2000. But I already have all the other components necessary which would run at least $1000 if not more. Take your time and do it right. Most of all find a machinist who is familiar with the 2.3.
To answer your original question about pistons you can go with Wiseco's available at Racer Walsh or Race Engineering (Raceeng.com) but Diamonds or CPs will be better. Make sure you specify turbo pistons. And if your going to spent the extra money on new rods get 5.5's at least. But make sure you specify which rod when ordering the pistons.(5.2 is stock)

Okay i'll send you a few pics of her, (note when you post, the wheels dont stick out that far LOL i just put them up to where they would be if they we're bolted on, Should be back next week ^^.

Anyway, My actual true goals for the car is to be in the mid 13's, I really dont need it to be Too fast the motor itself is an NA motor, that is bassically going down to the block, I'm trying to make sure i'm doing everything exactly right, as for an intercooler i definatly want a Front mounted one I still havent looked at many though, Any recomendations? This weekend i'll make a website dedicated to the car so you guys can follow its progress keep the input comming

~edit~
Here's a link to a pic of the wheels i still had up somehow

Lower compression under boost is better, because you can package more air/fuel charge into that space just by turning up the boost. N/A engines run high compression because they can't get much in there to begin with, and need to compress farther for greater cylinder pressure.

Get a .020" overbore or .010" if you can find rings and pistons for it.
