What type of transmission cooler (AODE)

I bought a cheap one at Oreilly's. It came with all the fittings for a rubber hose hook up. It's not the BEST way to do it, but it's been working fine for a couple of years.

Get yourself a big stacked plate cooler. They're more efficient than fin-tube coolers and they self regulate.

I say get a big one because I had initially chosen one that packaged nicely. Then some tune changes came and it was getting overwhelmed (I watch temps closely). I have an 11 x 11 x 1.5 cooler now.

Braided line is nice but I couldnt afford it. High quality hydraulic line should be ok. I sheath mine in heater hose to try and keep the actual hydraulic protected.

+1 on the stacked plate, keeps my tranny at 176deg F no matter how hot or how hard I beat it.

I'm running rubber lines as well until I can put on some sturdier ones. Been fine for a year on the rubbers.
