Just needed to know if all tranmission coolers are the same, and if AODE's have certain criteria (dimensions) plugs or AN fittings that are specially needed.
Thanks.
I bought a cheap one at Oreilly's. It came with all the fittings for a rubber hose hook up. It's not the BEST way to do it, but it's been working fine for a couple of years.
Get yourself a big stacked plate cooler. They're more efficient than fin-tube coolers and they self regulate.
I say get a big one because I had initially chosen one that packaged nicely. Then some tune changes came and it was getting overwhelmed (I watch temps closely). I have an 11 x 11 x 1.5 cooler now.
Braided line is nice but I couldnt afford it. High quality hydraulic line should be ok. I sheath mine in heater hose to try and keep the actual hydraulic protected.
SN95stangman. I just noticed on the back of the B&M transcooler box that the 70268 cooler has a BTU rating of 13,000. Isn't that too low of a BTU? would that be too low for nitrous?
Im thinking of reselling mine on ebay and going for the 70266 20,500 BTU style.
