Whats up , I dig the site . I bought a 89 Mustang lx 2.3 N/A a few years ago , I love the fuel economy . recently I had mice get up under my hood and chew my vacuum lines , thought I had fixed the problem but I haven't (im a very novice mechanic , but am learning ) The car had overdrive issues when I got it (would slip after a while ion overdrive ) I believe possibly the vacuum leak caused damage to my transmission , solenoid likes to cut out , overdrive is now gone , car does not want to idle (was dying at every stop until I fiddled with my timing and throttle ) Of course Ive tried shoving the car in neutral when coming up on a stop , but the shifter I guess is broken cause nothing prevents me from accidently going to far and hitting reverse . Can anyone please direct me to some links about transmissions and the vacuum system
