What vendor for new radiator?

Aluminum as a metal will dissipate heat much more quickly than the metal that a stock radiator is made of...copper I think.

I ran an aluminum afco radiator in my 90gt with a twin turbo setup and had no problems whatsoever. I think most new cars now come stock with aluminum radiators.

You may also want to look into redline Water Wetter if you are worried about cooling. It is an additive for your cooling system that will aid in cooling. I used it in my 300hp trans am, my 624rwhp gt, in my 88 modded vette, and I plan on using it in my 66 mustang......on average it dropped the temp 10-15 degrees.

Lotta issues in this thread...LOL!!

Aluminum does cool better, but it sounds like the way the old man is using the car that he wouldn't really need it. I have never had any problems buying radiators from any of the Mustang houses. They have always fit the application and I've run em for years....

Oz, I have always felt like "they" are among us. Certain companies that have people on the payroll that "surf" the different forums plugging their stuff directly or indirectly using different names.

That is why we need to keep fighting for the "Common Mustanger".

It sounds like a stock looking radiator would be better, even if the aluminum is a better performer. I'd get a Modine, they're made in the USA as well.

Modine's are the best aftermarket, but I couldn't find one for my 428CJ. I'd recommend a recore. It works great & looks as good as new.
