Back in the 70s I remember seeing a movie that had a 70 Mustang Grabber. It was Calypso Coral and had a rear spoiler but no louvers.

I can't find anything on google except eleanor and bullit stuff. Does anyone remember seeing it? If so, what was the name of the movie.

The plot line was so poor I couldn't tell you. But the car was so cool I didn't care.

I believe the car was sitting idling at a gas station when someone jumped in and stole it.

For the unitiated, the 70 grabber had a reflective 69 style boss 302 stripe without the Boss lettering.

In the 70s and i think it was a 71 Mustang they used with the Yellow/gold color. The Nick Cage one is just a remake of it.

All I know is that it was definitely a 70 fastback with a grabber stripe.

I checked on it and it was a "powder blue" 70. Of course we know that powder blue is blasphemy for grabber blue.

Except the original was a good car movie. The remake is full of unrealistic hollywood bull***t, like the plastic fake hood, sidepipe crap hung all over a "gt500".
My personal favorite being when cage turns it 6000, THEN hits the nitrous..... um yeah.

Anyhow, for those who have never seen the original, it is a great Saturday afternoon drinking beer with the buddies kind of car movie.

I finally found it on one of the databases. The movie was Bobbie Jo and the Outlaw featuring Lynda Carter (Superwoman). http://cgi.ebay.com/BOBBIE-JO-AND-T...goryZ617QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

The database listed the stang as a boss, but it's a grabber. I just bought the DVD from E-bay.
