I wanna pick up a wideband kit soon to tune my new 347 thats comming. I'm looking into the PLX kits or the zeitronix kits. Anyone have any experience with these? How does the datalogging work? Can you pull the unit and hook it up to your home computer to datalog? I will NOT be buying a laptop. I have a PMS to tune with fwiw.

Innovative LM-1

Pros:
Pricewize it's one of the best out there and it's expandability is practically limitless. Onboard data-logging is also a great feature. Can be permanently wired if you desire (I did). Basic kit comes with everything you need to include software for downloading the data logs.

Cons:
The meter itself is not suitable for dash mounting and is kind of large. (It does however, include an analog out signal port that can be used to power any Air Fuel Ratio guage)

Yeah thats what I don't like about it, is its kinda big. It looks like the same size as my PMS screen and I don't need 2 of those things laying around in my car. The features it has seem perfect if only it were smaller. Unfortunatly, all these kits in my price range have little con's

Innovate is the one my guys prefer.

But i was looking through an old 5.0 mag a few days ago, and i saw that they hooked one up to the pms system, i'll look for it.

There is also the one from dynojet.

Yep, that's their new one. It'll cost you more money to get the data logging and other features found inthe LM-1 though. You could always hide the unit underneath the passenger's seat and just run the output to an AFR guage if you don't want the thing visible. It's what I intend to do with mine. I'll leave enough excess wire coiled up down there so that I can pull it out to do data logging when I need it.

PLX owns all. No calibration needed, and a compact easy to read/mount display.

Chris, which PLX kit do you use? The datalogging model or the non datalogging? Got a pic of your install? I'm kinda liking the basic plx M300 non datalogging kit since I dont own a laptop and nor do I plan on it.

Old man Daggar has me liking the LM 1 kit more and more with all its capabilities. Only downfall is its pretty big and looks about the same size as my PMS handheld. Thats where the PLX seems better since its smaller but has a lot less features and requires a laptop to datalog.

Have you concidered a Dynojet wideband commander?

I was looking at the innovative lm-1 but got a good deal on the WBC. It has all the basic features you need: rpm, tp, a/f, analog input 1 & 2 data logging; Programmable output; Autometer 2 1/6" a/f gauge; Auto calibration; Bosh LSU-4 sensor; analog output; Warning light; 10 hz sample rate. You can data log with or without a laptop hooked up (usb).
