ok so i'm going vortech w/ aftercooler and if have ordered my gauges but i still need a wideband...dynojet wideband is a great wideband b/c it has a gauge that uses a pointer, but i don't want to pay 450.00...can anybody tell me of another brand wide band that would work just as well? i will have the vortech up and running hopefully in 2 weeks

Ijust picked up a brand new FAST dual sensor wideband for $250 shipped on another forum. It'll be here wed. so by the weekend I should be able to give a review. After searching it I've yet to find anything neg. about it. Look around and you'll find some good deals on widebands.

I like my PLX setup. It's inexpensive and works great! AEM makes a great unit as well.

AEM is my favorite, then PLX, then LC-1 (what I have, works great when it works, but goes through sensors like a mofo).

does the AEM wideband give you a second by second readout of what your AF ratio is...like say it's at 11.1:1 to 18.1:1...does it tell you what your a/f ratio is at that exact second?

Yes. Pretty much everything on the market gives you an instantaneous display nowadays.

i would have to say the lc1 then man u can get a kit for 300 that comes with a digital gauge and it may actually be better than a wideband commander

I agree. Modular Powerhouse and others actually had problems with the WBC setups being a full POINT off of their in-house dyno setups, even after recalibrating and changing sensors. IMO unless something has changed with the WBC setup it's not a good setup.

Well if you have a Xcal2 you can use livelink and the PLX to data log. All you need to buy is a 9pin-din to hook the output to the xcal2.

As much as I love Summit, you can find the AEM for around $240 on eBay.

Can you use one gauge to display both banks, like put a switch in or something? That way I can monitor both sides of the engine without putting in two gauges.
