what will match lower gt40?

A ported Gt40 lower matches the Upper manifold, but I was wondering if there was a less expensive route then getting the upper gt40 intake manifold. Could I bolt on a stock upper intake manifold? I know that it is really the lower intake manifold that is restrictiing air from the stock manifold anyway.... Any other less expensive ideas? I have the lower gt40, but don't have an upper intake manifold. I Also have afr 165 heads. Any suggestions? Thanks

I agree with 87gtstang, they flow pretty good and should be able to found cheap from a 97-02? Explorer. BTW a stock intake wont fit it. The gt40 lower has staggered ports and the stock manifold has the inline kind.

GT40, Explorer GT40, Cobra... will all fit the GT40 lower.

Thats the route I went with. GT40 lower with an Explorer upper, all ported. Flows pretty damn well for the price.:SNSign:
