what are they and what will they do for my car. Do they just hold the rearend from shifting with torque

They will definetly help your rear-end plant. I believe they will be pretty rough on your torque boxes though so you may want to reinforce them as well.

Those are traction bars. They are used to stop axle wind on leaf spring cars, a fox mustang with good aftermarket LCAs and UCAs wouldn't realy benefit from them.

Those are usually great for ripping your torque boxes out of the car.
