I recently made a trip to Gainesville, FL which oh by the way, you should never go to if your car is lowered because you will scrap the living s*** out of the bottom of the car.

Well, after being there 6 days I started to noticed the throttle was sticking some. It had never happened before. Then as the week went on it started to become more frequent. So I am wondering what would cause the throttle to start sticking now?

check your vacuum lines and make sure none are in the area. that happened to me, one of the zipties snaped and the hose worked its way up into the bolt position on the bottom of the arm.

it's sounds like dirt that just buillt up on the throttle body. buy some carb cleaner and an old tooth brush and clean it out really good. that sould stop that if that's what it is.

wytstang..what he said, she may be gunked up...Takes about 5 minutes and you can have the throttle cable out, pop the cable outta the plastic clip in the pedal...undo 2-10mm bolts on the firewall by the intake...its out...hose it down with some WD40 or put some graphite in there. may just be crudded up over the years...

The throttle and the cable are about 4-5 months old, thats what I find weird. But, it could still be dirty. Thanks for the replies guys.

Then clean out the throttlebody itself. remove the air inlet tube and open the throttle body to WOT and clean the butterfly that is inside and the lip where the butterfly lays when it is closed ( the small ridge ). since your cables are still new.
