You wanted to put a T5 into your classic Mustang, but you have an original center console for an automatic.

Would you?

- Attempt to modify the stock console for the standard

- Go without a console and sell it

- Go without a console and keep it in case you ever wanted to return the car to stock

- Go without a console until you could find one for a standard

- Other

It will not fit with the T5? Both fit fine in my 67....... Did you try a test fit?

Go without console and sell it.

When you need it again just buy it from E-bay.

Does a 68 have the same console as the 64.5 - 66, I noticed all of the people replying have 64.5 - 66 mustangs. The 64.5 - 66 manual plate is readily available, but I thought parts for a 68 console where much harder to find as it was a unique 1 year only style.
